Singleton Strikers Football Club sign UK imports

Stuart & JordanThe Singleton Strikers Football Club is pleased to announce the recruitment of 2 UK footballers for season 2015.

Club President David Andrews announced, “The Singleton Strikers are very pleased to announce the signing of Jordan Phelan and Stuart Plant for season 2015. They join a number of new recruits for the Strikers this year. These signings will give head coach Scott Baillie plenty of options to consider, and along with a strong core of local players, the Strikers player depth is looking the best it has for years”

Jordan Phelan

Jordan is from Manchester, and the 19 year old central defender has recently graduated from the Hopwood Hall Football College……one of England’s highest ranked footballing Academies with links to some of the biggest Clubs in the UK.

He is strong in the air and comfortable on the ball, and at 6’2” and 90kg, he will prove to be an imposing presence in the heart of the defence.

Stuart Plant

Stuart is a 23 year old goal keeper who hails from Northwich in Cheshire. Stuart spent 12 months as a full time professional with Crewe Alexandra, before a hand injury forced him into rehab for 6 months and saw him lose his spot in the League One outfit. He then signed for Witton Albion in the EvoStik Northern Premier Division. Currently on loan at Runcorn Town, he has helped Runcorn to the top of the table, as well as leading them to their highest ever FA Cup finish.
